How to Grant GoDaddy Delegate Access to RE:STACK

If RE:STACK is supporting you with DNS changes, domain configuration, or email authentication, and you have your domains with GoDaddy, you might like their Delegate Access feature.

The good news is you don't have to share your username, password, or payment details.

GoDaddy’s Delegate Access feature allows you to grant us permission to manage your domains safely, while you remain fully in control of your account.

For all the work we do, we only require Domains Only access.

Why Use Delegate Access?

Sharing login credentials creates unnecessary security risk and compliance issues. Delegate Access:

Keeps your password private
Protects your billing information
Allows you to revoke access at any time
Gives us exactly the level of access required and nothing more

For DNS, email authentication, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, or domain-related changes, Domains Only is the correct setting.

Step-by-Step: Granting Us Access

Please follow the steps below carefully.

Step 1: Log into GoDaddy

Step 2: Open Delegate Access

In the top right corner, click your name and select Account Settings.

Then choose Delegate Access. (If you can't find it, use this link: https://sso.godaddy.com/access

You’ll see a section called “People who can access my account”.

Click Invite to Access.

Step 3: Enter Our Details

Use the following information exactly:

Name: Ben Fielding

Email: ben@restack.uk

This ensures the access invitation reaches the correct person.

Step 4: Select the Correct Permission Level

When prompted to choose an access level, select: Domains Only

This is important. Do not select any other option. We do not require purchase permissions or access to billing.

Step 5: Send the Invitation

Click Invite.

Ben will receive the request and accept the delegate access. That’s it.

What We Can Do With “Domains Only” Access

With Domains Only permission, we can:

Add and edit DNS records
Configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Verify domains for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Support domain migrations
Review and optimise DNS settings

We cannot:

See your password
Access payment methods
Make purchases
Transfer domains away
Change account ownership

You remain in full control at all times.

After You’ve Sent the Invite

Once the invitation is accepted, we can begin work immediately. If you are unsure whether the correct permission level has been selected, feel free to send a quick confirmation email and we’ll double-check before proceeding.
